A shop built around parents

Kicks and Packs started with a simple problem. Buying school shoes for a growing child usually means a long trip, a guess at the size, and a pair that is worn through by the middle of term.

We opened at Harmony Mall in Kira to fix that. If you cannot get to us, send the size on WhatsApp and we will hold the pair or bring it to you.

Bring the child in and we fit them properly. It takes about five minutes and it saves you a second trip.

How Kicks and Packs started

Buying school shoes for a growing child usually means a long trip into town, a guess at the size, and a pair that is worn through by the middle of term. We got tired of it. So did most of the parents we spoke to.

We opened at Harmony Mall in Kira so parents on this side of town would not have to make that trip. Bring the child in, we measure the foot, and we put them in something that actually fits. It takes about five minutes and it saves you coming back in three weeks.

What we stock is chosen the way a parent would choose it. Leather that survives a full term. Straps a six year old can work on their own. Bags with room for books and a lunch box without pulling on small shoulders. If a line does not hold up, we stop selling it.

A small part of the range is made here in Uganda, by hand, using leather and kitenge fabric. Those pairs take longer to make and there are never many of them, but they are the ones we are proudest of.

And because school costs never stop coming, 5% of everything you spend with us goes into a savings plan for your child with ICEA Lion. You do nothing extra. It builds quietly in the background.

Harmony Mall, Kira. Monday to Saturday, 9:00am to 8:00pm.

Four reasons this works

Fitted in five minutes

We measure the foot in the shop and put your child in the right size first time. No guessing at home, no second trip.

Made to last a term

Leather uppers and stitched soles, picked because they survive a full term of playground use, not just the first month.

We bring it to you

Send the size on WhatsApp and we will hold the pair for you or deliver it. Kira, Kampala and the areas around.

5% back into savings

Every purchase puts 5% into a savings plan for your child with ICEA Lion. Nothing extra to pay and nothing to sign up for.

Made here

Handmade in Uganda

A small part of what we sell is made here. The handmade range uses leather and kitenge fabric, stitched by hand, so no two bags carry exactly the same print. They cost a little more than a factory bag and they last a good deal longer.

Questions parents ask

If yours is not here, call or message us on +256759499073 and we will answer it properly.

Do I need to bring my child in to get the right size?

It helps. We measure the foot in the shop and it takes about five minutes, which saves you coming back in three weeks with a pair that does not fit. If you cannot get in, send us the size on WhatsApp and we will work with that.

What sizes do you carry?

EU 25 to 42, which covers most children from nursery right through to senior school. If a size is not on the shelf we will tell you straight away when we can get it in rather than leaving you waiting.

Where are you and when are you open?

Harmony Mall in Kira. We are open Monday to Saturday, 9:00am to 8:00pm.

Do you deliver?

Yes. Send the size on WhatsApp to +256759499073 and we will either hold the pair for you at the shop or bring it to you. We cover Kira, Kampala and the areas around.

What is the 5% savings thing?

Every time you buy from us, 5% of what you spend goes into a savings plan for your child with ICEA Lion. You do not pay anything extra for it and it does not change the price on the shelf.

Spend 200,000 on a pair of shoes and a bag and 10,000 goes into the plan. It sits there and builds while your child grows.
