On most of our bags the fabric sits on a pocket. On this one it runs as a full band across the width of the body, pocket and flanks together, so the print is the middle third of the bag rather than a patch on it.
It takes more fabric and more matching to build, because the pattern has to line up across three separate pieces of leather. When the workshop gets it right, which is most of the time, the band reads as one continuous piece.
Olive was chosen for the body because it sits underneath a busy print without competing with it. A brighter leather here would fight the fabric and both would lose.

Looking after it
Wipe the leather with a dry cloth and work in a leather conditioner every few months. Spot clean the fabric only and do not soak it, the colours are vivid and they will run.
