Not a school bag, and we would rather say so. This is the bag for nursery, for going to the village, for a sleepover at an auntie’s house. It holds a lunch box, a bottle and a folded jumper, and it stops there.
Which is the point. A small child given a large bag fills it, then cannot carry it, and then you carry it. This one has a ceiling built in.
A single cartoon figure patch sits in the centre of the front panel. The straps are padded and go short enough for a three year old without the buckle ends trailing.

Choosing the size
The bag should sit between the shoulders and the waist, not below the hips. If the bottom of it is banging against the back of his legs when he walks, it is too big. Small for nursery and P1 to P3, medium for P4 to P7, large for secondary and anyone carrying a laptop.
Looking after it
Sponge it down with soapy water and dry it in the shade. Keep it out of the washing machine, it pulls the padding out of shape and it never recovers.
