If you have been buying a size up purely to get enough width, and then stuffing the toe so it stays on, this is the shoe that solves it.
It is cut on a broader last through the ball of the foot and across the toe box, while staying normal at the heel, so it holds properly at the back instead of slipping. The straps are set slightly further apart to match.

Getting the size right
Bring him in and we will measure both feet, because one is almost always a little bigger than the other and it is the bigger one that decides the size. Ordering online? Stand him on a sheet of paper, mark the heel and the longest toe, measure between the marks in centimetres and add half a centimetre for growth. Care
A damp cloth after school and a proper polish on Sunday evening will keep them looking right until the end of term. If they get soaked, stuff them with newspaper and leave them somewhere shaded to dry slowly.
